THE WOMAN WHO STARTED IT ALL

A Legacy of Strength and Care - Healing Runs in Our Story

Long before Nadurra existed, Isabella was already doing the work of healing.

After experiencing the loss of a child in Scotland, she crossed the Atlantic carrying grief and resilience into a new life in Canada. She dedicated herself to caring for people living with mental illness — first in Scotland, and later at Selkirk Mental Hospital.

At a time when trauma was not yet understood the way it is today, she offered presence, patience, and humanity.

Her story reminds us that healing is not new.

It is something that has always lived in families.

Nadurra continues what she began.

Some stories don’t end. They continue through families.

Isabella devoted her life to caring for people whose suffering was often unseen and misunderstood. Long before we had the language of nervous system health, trauma awareness, or emotional regulation, she was already doing that work with compassion and steadiness.

Generations later, I found myself walking a similar path.

After facing my own family’s challenges with addiction, uncertainty, and health concerns — including my diagnosis of fatty liver disease — I began searching for answers that traditional medicine alone could not fully provide. That search led me back to something older. Something quieter. Something inherited.

It led me back to her.

To the understanding that healing has always lived in our family story.

Nadurra was created to honour that legacy — combining heritage wisdom, aromachology, and nervous system support into simple rituals that help people feel grounded again.

Because sometimes healing doesn’t begin with something new.

Sometimes it begins with remembering where you come from.

The Ritual Continues

Isabella believed in caring for people when they needed it most.

Today, Nadurra continues that same spirit of care through simple, intentional rituals designed to support the body, quiet the mind, and restore the soul.

Each collection reflects the belief that healing is not something we rush. It is something we return to — gently, naturally, and often together.

Rooted in Scottish heritage and shaped by generations of lived experience, Nadurra exists to help bring comfort back into everyday life.

Because sometimes the most powerful remedies are the ones passed quietly through families.

And sometimes the Ritual is the Remedy.
